Remember, a spa experience is your time to relax, reflect, revitalize and rejoice. External beauty is a product of internal harmony and balance. Therefore, we offer a special selection of Aveda teas and spa cuisine snacks as part of your experience.

Our Founder

The original Josephine's Salon was a modest, 7-chair salon opened in 1995. What set Josephine's apart from the competition was her relentless determination, coupled with a passion for helping people look and feel their best. To Josephine, each guest represented a precious gem in need of just a little polishing and care to bring out the luster and beauty within. It was in this spirit that Josephine was able to grow her vision successfully, providing valued service and guest care throughout the Houston community. Josephine's Day Spa and Salon is the embodiment all the qualities of our founder, those intangibles that have inspired so much love and loyalty from her guests that we are delighted to extend to you.

Because of our commitment to your satisfaction, we do not accept gratuities. The best possible reward that we can receive is the compliment of your return or your referral.

Whether you are interested in transforming your hairstyle with vibrant color, a sassy cut, or simply needing some time to drift away from reality, Josephine’s is a place where your needs are our first priority.

                As a full day spa and salon, Josephine’s provides a variety of services to take advantage of ranging from hair, nails, massages, and facials. Josephine’s offers extended hours, and we are open seven days a week, to help accommodate your busy schedule. For your convenience, you are able to book appointments as well as purchase gift certificates on our website. To help take the stress off your shoulders, you are invited in by friendly faces and offered a glass of complimentary wine or flavored water before beginning your service. Josephine’s maintains this stress free environment by holding a non-gratuity policy and simply asking for your return, and the referral of your friends and family. With this being said, for each referral you will be given a $25 to use on your next visit with us. The best thing about it—you are able to refer as many friends or family members as you want!

                Your satisfaction is our top priority, as we ask for your feedback to ensure we are doing everything possible to fulfill the perfect visit. Not only does Josephine’s provide an unforgettable salon and spa experience, but we want to make sure that you are able to recreate your experience at home as well. We are able to do so by teaching you do it yourself tips and recommending the best homecare regimes.

                Josephine’s is a team-based salon, meaning that unlike other salons, our staff is paid hourly. This allows our employees to interact with one another and helps build strong team work. Other pay systems such as commission based pay or salary pay fail to inspire a team atmosphere—and this most definitely affects the experience of our guests. Having a good and reliable team by your side assures you that you’re in good hands.

                Josephine’s Day Spa and Salon is an Aveda lifestyle salon, in other words, all products used and recommended are Aveda products. Aveda is the Art and Science of Pure Flower and Plant Essences™. All Aveda products contain 95% naturally derived ingredients and use 100% post consumer recycled packaging. Along with Aveda, Josephine’s is committed to providing and maintaining a better world to live in. Whether we are hosting our annual “Pretty in Pink” gala for breast cancer, or raising money towards clean water for earth month, Josephine’s is always looking to help those around us. Every April since 2006, over $15,000 has been raised for earth month to help provide clean water to those in need. Everything from the caps on our shampoo bottles, to the hair swept up from our floors is being recycled and used to provide a cleaner and healthier world.
